The article I chose was over the “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” campaign, hosted by MTSU.
1. I would have liked for the top photo to have been cropped better. It’s the first thing we see before we start to read. Not all of the shoe can be seen in the picture. I would suggest to have it where the full image can be shown or to pick a different photograph.
2. I thought the article was too short. For such a short article, I would suggest adding more photographs.
3. To make the article longer, I would give readers more detail and interview those who attended the event. Why did they go? How is it important to them? How far did they walk? How many people attended? What does this campaign mean to them? I think giving interviews would bring the story to life and give it a personal touch. Readers would be interested in what these people who attended had to say. It’s a good way to put more information into the article without the author inserting her opinion.
